EYE Review 2016: October to December

We reach the final stretch in my review of 2016 with fake news, political parties and a distinct sense of deja vu.

The BBC’s ‘Positive Action’ strategy stepped up a gear which meant poor little John Holmes got kicked to the kerb…

And the social media purges continued with the factual feminist being branded too dangerous for delicate minds..

EYEexamined another ‘torrent of misogyny’…

And celebrated International Men’s Day by taking on THAT joke…

Meanwhile the US election rolled on to it’s inevitable conclusion….

Frankie Boyle summed up Obama’s legacy in seven words…

And everybody started talking about a brand new phenomenon called ‘fake news’…

Speaking of fake news…

Jess Phillips got a £20k advance to tell her version of the truth…

And (wee) claimed their first victory at the polls…

And their candidate was lost for words after two minutes on talk radio…

Laura Bates somehow missed this moment of #everydaysexism…

There are no words…

In comedy context is everything..

The Film Actor’s Guild had one more go at democracy…

Ursula showed them all how it should be done…

No wonder some people don’t trust them…

More double standards…

More fake news…

And not for the first time this year a politician exploits a woman’s death to push their point of view…

And the year ends as it begins with celebrity deaths and #milo trending on twitter (and amazon). Turns out that Milo’s truth is worth 13 times more Jess’ in the open market…
