A Quick Retort

In case you’re wondering why the massive screen shot…

The guardian have rolled out the old ‘should we have a female Doctor chestnut’ again, for the second time in as many days in fact…

Goodness knows why some feminists have such a fixed fascination with demands for this particular cultural trophy.  These days it doesn’t even take an impending regeneration to get the typewriters flapping.  In fact it’s hardly been a week since The Independent recycled a months old christopher eccleston interview just to revisit the ‘debate’ once again.

Anywho…long story short, the screen shot is my contribution to the following discussion:

The Guardian’s pick of the comments was ryhsminion’s link to the following photo on his blog:

Over and above, supporting the argument that anyone calling for a female Doctor should have at least enough interest in the show to know what the character is actually called…

It was a timely reminder that, according to the Comment is Free guidelines, it’s entirely acceptable to post links to your blog as long as they are relevant to the discussion….

Except of course when the moderators decide it isn’t because it’s the only way they can justify targeting your contributions for ‘pre moderation’.

Which in my case lead to some bizarre censorship decisions, seemingly because eyeisbloke.

Eye did try and complain but they just ignored me… and to this day I’m still one of the 1% of users in moderation.

Must get round to trying again.
